Risho cast transformer with touch prevention plate

For power supply to equipment that cannot stop operation, such as data centers.

This is a transformer in which the low-voltage winding and the touch prevention plate are integrally molded with epoxy resin. As a measure against the contact between the high-voltage and low-voltage circuits generated within the transformer, a Type B grounding is applied to the low-voltage circuit. By doing this, if a ground fault occurs somewhere in the low-voltage circuit, a closed circuit is formed through the Type B grounding, resulting in an increase in ground fault current. When the protective device detects this, the entire low-voltage circuit will experience a power outage, causing even equipment that cannot be stopped for various reasons to shut down simultaneously. By applying Type B grounding to the touch prevention plate installed within the low-voltage winding, even if the low-voltage circuit is ungrounded, the contact current generated within the transformer can be discharged to the ground through the touch prevention plate. In cases where equipment that is difficult to stop, such as servers and routers in a data center, is connected to the low-voltage circuit, measures against contact can be implemented by adopting a transformer with a touch prevention plate while keeping the low-voltage circuit ungrounded.
